Forget About 9 to 5 is an independent website. To fund its work, some pages may contain partner links, also called affiliate links. This page explains what that means for you.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a link to a product or service that allows the partner, or an affiliate network acting on its behalf, to recognise that you came from our site. If you then download, install, subscribe or buy, we may receive a commission. The price you pay is the same as if you had gone to the publisher directly.
Current status
At the date shown above, this website does not contain active affiliate links. This page is published in advance so that our policy is clear before any partnership starts.
Our commitments
- Clear labelling. Any page containing a partner link displays a notice before the first link, and partner links are identified as such.
- Useful content first. Guides must be useful without clicking any link. Commission never determines our safety advice.
- Honest presentation. No fake alerts, no misleading download buttons, no false urgency and no promise of total protection or guaranteed results.
- Approved materials only. We use brand names, logos or images only where the brand owner or its program rules allow it.
- Technical attributes. Partner links carry the
rel="sponsored"attribute so that search engines can identify them.
Tracking
When you click a partner link and leave our website, the partner or affiliate network may use its own cookies or identifiers to attribute the referral. That processing is governed by their privacy policies. Our own use of cookies is described in our Cookie Policy.
